Gads. Spent the last week working on my application for Literary Arts’ Oregon Literary Fellowship. Turned it in today. This is my third attempt at the yearly award, the first year I hand-delivered my application about an hour before it was due, last year about two hours before. This year, I actually had all the pieces ready on Wednesday, but then took a casual couple of days to edit and make sure it was “clean.”
Upon handing in the packet, I did my “lucky jig” which didn’t work the previous two years, so it’s bound to work this year…
Application included the latest revision of “Some Kind of Suicide,” which I’ll be submitting to various magazines in the upcoming weeks. I won’t hear back about the Oregon Literary Fellowship until January 2009, which is a long time to keep fingers crossed (very hard to eat tacos that way).
